Description: Sweet Pea was dropped off in a crate at the animal shelter that I am a volunteer at. It was after hours but luckily we were still there. She was malnorishes, her teats were swollen and she was bleeding from the vagina. It was evident that she had recently given birth. We believed that she probably had been used only for breeding due to her fear of people. I adopted her and brought her home, She had never stood in grass, had never been a part of a family and had never been shown love and attention. In the past year, all that has changed. She loves her new life.
Favorite Activities: Sweet Pea is my little "heat sponge" The minute she hears the hair dryer, she comes running to get her "blow dry". She loves to sit in the sun. She has learned to play with her siblings and will chase them from room to room. It took her nearly six months to learn how to be a dog and not just a breeding machine.
Favorite Toys: Sweet Pea doesn't know what toys are and does not play with any.
Favorite Foods: When I adopted Sweet Pea, she malnourished. She will eat anything that is offered. The only thing that she turns her nose up to is orange sandwich cheese. She will protect her food at times with her siblings but has never snapped at a human.
Tricks: Sweet Pea dances on her back legs when she begs for treats. It is amazing how long she can stand up unaided.
