Is there a DOGGIE DOOR out there big enough for a Great Dane but still secure and safe for ME living alone?

I am a single girl living alone and just bought my first home. I had planned to have a doggie door immediately installed for my chocolate lab, but with plans for a much larger dog in the future (and the size of her)...that's been nearly impossible since security is an issue for me and a HUMAN being able to fit through the size door that I need. Does anyone know of any great technology out there that would allow me to meet my needs and my chocolate turkey still be able to enjoy her nice big backyard? Thanks everyone!

Thanks--installation isn't the problem, nor finding the "door" large enough. It's really a matter of security; a door that allows dogs in and out but would keep out an intruder. Sounds like wishful thinking :-/

There are doors that open for radio frequency emitters on your dog's collar. Supposed to be fairly secure against break ins. Check this link: http://www.doityourself.com/stry/keep-safe-with-a-security-pet-door

If the link doesn't work, copy and paste.

get a lever door knob for the inside and train him to open it. Assistance dogs are trained to do this. as for coming in, he could be trained to bark when he wants in, you could have one of those door locks that you can open with a buzzer installed, you could also have an intercom installed so that you can hear him if you are not near the door. also you should get video surveillance for the door and outside area, a wireless camera can be set up to transmit over wifi to your computer and you could keep an eye on the dog while he is outside. This is getting less expensive these days and worth the peace of mind.
an intruder could always just follow the dog in if he has one of those collars, or steal the collar and come in at any time.
